S.A.C. launched as a grassroots effort to "break cycles" in parenting culture. The message — that certain fear-based practices could cause harm long-term — found both supporters and strong opponents.

Vocal parent campaigns and organized protests framed the initiative as an attack on traditional Filipino parenting, often summarised by the phrase “Our parenting is perfect — 2005.” Facing sustained boycotts and legal pressure, operations were paused and the project discontinued.

The brand lived on only in archived pages, forum mentions, and a few articles. Many viewed S.A.C. as a one-year controversy — others kept quiet and revisited the ideas later.

After two decades, new conversations, research, and outreach show there is appetite for respectful, community-driven change. We are relaunching with clearer language, collaborative programs, and a promise to listen first.
